A Computer Toolkit comes in handy whenever we're working on a PC. We only require 4 essential items while building a PC. A full compliment toolkit may be purchased if desired. Make sure you have these 3 items 1st!
For those working on Compaq's, you'll need more than this! We're focusing on building a PC with generic & compatible name brand off the shelf parts.
1.) Anti-Static Wrist Straps - Stay Grounded! (Image1 | Image2 | Image3)
Static Electricity, a.k.a. (ESD) Electrostatic Discharge, will have a residual buildup causing component failure over time. An additional good measure: add an anti-static table mat.
Proper grounding: Make sure power is off, leave power cord plugged in! PC Case will be grounded through P/S cord.
